Lawyer of US diplomat’s wife contacts family of Harry Dunn

Written by on 12/10/2019

The lawyer of a US woman granted diplomatic immunity after a teenager was killed in a crash has contacted the victim’s family.

Harry Dunn, 19, died when his motorbike collided with a car outside an RAF base in Northamptonshire in August.

Anne Sacoolas, 43, the wife of a US diplomat, was involved in the crash but returned to the states after being granted diplomatic immunity.

The Dunn family’s spokesperson Radd Seiger said on Saturday: “I have had a brief conversation with the legal representatives appointed on behalf of Anne Sacoolas and we have agreed to meet at the earliest opportunity.”

The mother of Harry Dunn has told Sky News of the pain and suffering her family is going through. ‘We need to meet her… she’s left a family in complete ruin’

It comes after Harry’s parents, Charlotte Charles and Tim Dunn, flew to the US to continue their fight for justice.

They plan to visit both New York and Washinton DC to drum up support from Americans and put pressure on the US government to “do the right thing”.

Mr Seiger said the parents are appealing for witnesses who saw Mrs Sacoolas leave the UK for the US.
