An enormous tornado-like waterspout has been filmed swirling over the Bristol Channel.
The spectacular weather event, spotted near Portishead on Sunday afternoon, is a rare occurrence.
Described by the Met Office as a tornado that forms over water, waterspouts are rotating funnels of air and water mist tangled in strong gusts that reach from the base of a cloud all the way down to the water below.
They either form over water or move there from land, and often come with high winds, large hail, and lightning.
This one was seen near Portishead at around 4pm, and again between Clevedon and Portishead at around 4.25pm.
